This is our recipe for safety, rapid progress, and lots of fun during your kite course.
However, truly learning to kitesurf requires one essential ingredient: time.
Our beginner kite courses are designed in a way that makes learning kitesurfing easily accessible and guarantees lots of fun, even without any prior experience:
1. Theoretical Basics of Kitesurfing
Without the necessary knowledge of equipment and an understanding of the wind window, you'll quickly hit limits when learning to kitesurf on the water. That's why we begin our course with an introduction to safety concepts, an explanation of the equipment, and an overview of the wind window (the area in which the kite moves). Kite schools that skip this theoretical part are not serious providers!
Learning how to use the quick-release system (the kite's safety system) and how to respond in an emergency are essential basics that must be practiced beforehand, even if they make up only a small part of the training.
In the theoretical part, we cover the following topics:

2. First Kitesurfing Session on the Water
Already on the first day, we head straight to the water to experience the first exercises with the kite. Thanks to boat support and the conditions at Lake Garda, we can start learning how to fly a kite right away with a real kite, saving time that is usually spent on a trainer kite.
When learning kitesurfing, you're essentially learning two sports: flying the kite and riding the kiteboard. Together, they make up what we call kitesurfing or kiteboarding. We begin by learning how to control the kite and master it in various situations. There are different exercises that we adjust slightly depending on the conditions and the learning pace of the participants.
Here is an overview of the exercises with the kite:
Since the learning progress of participants tends to vary greatly, it is difficult to provide exact timeframes for progress in your lesson. However, the kite course content described above is usually learned within one to two days, also depending on the prevailing conditions.

3. Waterstart or Boardstart
The waterstart (getting up on the kiteboard with the help of the kite), sometimes also called boardstart is one of the key challenges when learning to kitesurf. You've just learned to control the kite, and now the kiteboard comes into play as another part of the puzzle! But no worries - the waterstart can be broken down into individual steps, and we will gradually guide you toward your first meters on the board. Here, the right teaching approach is crucial.
Depending on the learning speed, we typically start the waterstart between the 2nd and 4th day. It is important to first have complete control of the kite so that you can then focus on your board.

4. Learning to Ride
Once you're up on your kiteboard, the real fun begins. However, there's a lot to consider: How do I position myself on the board? How can I change direction? How do I slow down or speed up? And how do I avoid only riding with the wind? Just to name a few questions!
It's really hard to say when you'll achieve your first controlled water starts and start riding your first meters on the board. We've had participants who were riding with control after just 2 days, but there have also been cases where some struggled even after a whole week. The important thing is to have fun - then the learning success will come naturally!

5. Valuable Theory Sessions
Before and between the practical sessions on the water, you will learn the theoretical basics of kitesurfing. This way, you'll be prepared and know exactly what to do when you hit the water. For example, the water start can be broken down into individual steps and key points can be highlighted in advance. This greatly eases the first attempts on the water.
